The Bengals are currently members of the North Division of the American Football Conference in the National Football League. They joined the NFL in 1970 as part of the AFL-NFL merger and burst onto the scene as one of the most aggressive teams in the league.

Imitating the action of the tiger for which they are named, the Bengals trained their team for No-Huddle Offense which allowed them to set up for new plays in 5-10 seconds and stripping the opposing team of time to set up, switch out players, or formulate an organized defense.

Under the ownership of Mike Brown, the Bengals remain one of five NFL teams without a General Manager, but this has not hindered their development and they remain a strong, fast, and aggressive team.
