The Penn State Nittany Lions are coming off back to back wins over Temple and Eastern Michigan. The Nittany Lions will play three more current ranked teams before the end of the season. Their only loss is to #3 Alabama.

The Nittany Lions have a chance to make a name for themselves this year if they can string together some wins. They still have to play #24 Illinois, #8 Nebraska, and current Big Ten powerhouse #7 Wisconsin. Penn State has conference foes the rest of the way, which could set them up nicely for a run at a BCS bowl game.

The Nittany Lions will have to pick up the rushing and passing yards as they rank 75th and 76th, respectively, in those categories. They do have a #10 ranking in "points against" with 12.5. This type of defense will provide a competitive edge in games to come.

The Nittany Lions have their work cut out for them as they face some tough teams at the end of the season.
