The Nebraska Cornhusker football program enters into the Big Ten for the first year in 2011. Head Coach Bo Pelini knows the Big Ten Conference well as he wore the scarlet and gray for The Ohio State University. The last time Nebraska vs Ohio State happened was in 1956 and the Huskers lost. Pelini's scarlet and cream will fit right in the new conference. Coach Pelini is 30-12 and is beginning his 4th year as Nebraska's leader. His Cornhuskers are coming off a Holiday Bowl loss to Washington, 7-19.
The program is legendary and Nebraska fans have been treated to 5 National titles, 43 conference titles and 3 Heisman Trophy winners. The last Cornhusker to win the coveted award was Eric Crouch in 2001.
