Petco Park

Located in downtown San Diego, Petco Park is an open-air ballpark located between 7th and 10th Avenues, south of J Street. Home to the Padres, the park was built so that the Padres wouldn’t have to share the older Qualcomm Stadium with the Chargers.

Petco Park has seating for 42,445 fans and features both of view of the San Diego Bay and the San Diego skyline as well as private suites, restaurants, and rooftop seating. Billed as a pitchers park, Petco Park ranked 29th in hits and 30th out of 30 in home runs in the MLB at the end of the 2008 season.

Eschewing the retro style of design, Petco Park is built to resemble sandstone and stucco giving it a look and feel unique to the California area. Whether you’re a native to the area or just passing through, Petco Park is one of San Diego’s most attractive venues.
