Nationals Park
Home to the Nats, Nationals Park was finished in 2008 and the Nats took on the Atlanta Braves for the first game in their new stadium. Designed by Populous, the park seats over 41,000 fans and is situated with a view of both the U.S. Capitol and the Washington Monument.
Along with its 41,000 seats, the park also features 66 suites around the infield, and is currently selling the naming rights to those suites. Fans also have access to various eating establishments such as Five Guys, Ben’s Chili Bowl, Dogfish Head, and the Flying Dog Brewery.
One of the newest parks in MLB, Nationals Park has already made history when Pope Benedicts XVI conducted Mass in 2008 at the Park, and even though the park was opened in 2008, improvements and expansions were completed during the offseason.
