Great American Ball Park

Home of the Reds, the Great American Ball Park opened in 2003, and replaced the old Cinergy Field which had been in service since the 70s. The first game was played against long time rivals, the Cleveland Indians, and the park hosted the Major League Baseball Civil Rights Game which pitted the Reds against the Redsocks.

Featuring seating for 42,059, and smaller than average field dimensions, the Great American Ball Park has a reputation for being a hitters dream. Home runs here are more prevalent than average and teams use this fact to great effect. Despite many features, one of the most unusual is the Toyota Tundra Home Run Deck. If a Reds player hits the truck with a home run, a randomly selected fan gets to take the truck home.

Whether you’re going to root for the Reds or going to get a chance at a free truck, the Great American Ball Park is a spectacle not to be missed and is one of the most outstanding features of Cincinnati.
